Establishesd in 2013, SICT started M.C.A affiliated with Gujarat Technological University, which is 3 Years (Six Semester) course. SICT has GTU permission for lateral entry directly in Third Semester of MCA for BCA qualified candidates.

Master of Computer Application (MCA), Duration of 02 Years (Lateral Entry Only for B.Sc.(CS/IT) or BCA Graduates)


On completion of the MCA course, the students will be able to have a deep knowledge on subjects like database management, statistics, algorithm design, mobile technologies, finance, programming languages, accounting, computational theory, Quality assurance/Control, network management, probability, organizational behavior, Project Management, web design etc.

After successful completion of MCA, the candidates will be able to get jobs in different industries like software engineering and development, hardware and networking, research and development, services and application support, etc…As far as software engineering and development is concerned, the candidate can get job as Trainee Programmer, software tester, software analyst, Software Engineer, software administrator or as a software programmer. The hardware and networking industry contain the physical elements of computer system (i.e.) designing, manufacturing and maintenance of computers. It also involves integration and installation of computer systems through networking. Research and development involves the crafting of circuits and chips and computer architecture. The service and application support industry includes application management and system integration, maintenance of software application and its installation and much more.

Initially, the candidate can begin his/her career as a junior programmer or trainee and he/she can grow at a faster pace and can become system analyst or can also become project leaders and the growth prospects is high up to top level management in many reputed organizations.

Computer Laboratories

The institute has excellent Computer Laboratories equipped with 6 servers and 237 nodes. All the computers are networked and protected from all known viruses and firewall to have complete data security. To ensure continues usability of computers to the students, all the computers have a power backup with uninterrupted power supply (UPS) up to 5 hours. Essential licensed software is provided to all systems to support the academic and University curriculum. Wi-fi facility is also provided.


SICT has a fully automated library. Apart from text books, the library has National and International journals and some popular dailies. SICT maintains an exclusive question bank in the library which comprises a collection of University Question papers and additional objective type questions papers prepared by the institute faculty.

Hi-Tech Campus

Each student is provided with a personal user id. Also, all campuses are interconnected through a highly secured SIM Virtual Private Network.


The classrooms are spacious, ventilated and equipped with multimedia equipments to facilitate effective learning. The classrooms are designed to provide maximum interaction between the faculty and students.

Computer Centre

Computing facilities for students include a laboratory equipped with 24 computers to the Windows NT server and Local Area Network. The network also connects the faculty and staff for information sharing and communication. The students have access to the internet. The faculties are also provided computer facilities.


The Library at Institute of Pharmacy houses more than 2,500 volumes of books selectively chosen for reading and reference. The collection includes resources relevant to teaching, learning, training, research and consultancy needs of the Institute. About 70 printed national & international periodicals and 148 e-Journals are subscribed to so that the participants keep themselves updated with the trends in the Pharmacy. The collection includes resources relevant to teaching, learning, training, and research needs of the Institute.


A modern canteen building provides hygienic and wholesome food, snacks and beverages.

Eligibility Criteria

Students who has passed CMAT qualify for admission to MCA course.

  • The candidate should have passed any Bachelor Degree Programme of three or more years’ duration after the 12th standard, or its equivalent examination (with minimum 50%)
  • Candidate should have taken the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
